We also invite you to attend the Gullah Geechee Seminar that day, hosted by the East Cooper Civic Club, with roundtable discussions of issues that impact the communities along the Gullah Geechee Culture Heritage Corridor.
Both events will be held at Mount Pleasant's Waterfront Park, 99 Harry Hallman Jr. Boulevard.
SCAFA Receives 2016
This annual event is designed to promote and preserve the Gullah Geechee peoples' history, heritage, culture and traditions. Visitors will find the work of 20+ sweetgrass basket makers and other artwork and crafts available for purchase, basketmaking demonstrations, children's activities and a variety of food vendors.
There is no charge for admission or for parking. No pets, skateboards or alcohol, please.
